The Strothoff International School is a bilingual, IB school. In our pedagogical concept, we follow both the Hessian Education plan and the IB curriculum. On our family-friendly and modern campus in Dreieich (near Frankfurt), we offer around 380 children and young people access to German-English language learning, starting in kindergarten, through the immersion method. Within the framework of our international and diverse campus community, our pedagogical team in kindergarten, primary school and secondary school supports our students in grow-ing into independent, open-minded and globally thinking young people.

The Strothoff International School is a part of the Phorms Education SE network of bilingual schools and nurseries, which have been enriching the educational landscape in Germany since 2006.

For our Strothoff International School in Dreieich (near Frankfurt) we are looking for a

Head of School (full-time)

We seek an enthusiastic, open-minded member for our leadership team who enjoys working with children and wants to join a high performing, dedicated faculty in an international setting.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Focussing on learning in every aspect of the school’s work

• Promoting the implementation of a curriculum rooted in best practice, international mindedness and value beyond school

• Leadership on how to best monitor and improve learning

• Inspiring all teaching staff and employees

• Galvanizing the school community with a great, achievable and mission-driven vision

• Promoting a culture of accountability

• Building relationships and organizational structures which effectively support learning and ensure long term mission protection

• Initiate and maintain ethical personnel practices, focussing on the highest standard of teaching in every classroom

• Model behaviour consistent with the school’s mission and values

• Continuously refresh professional skills and knowledge

Your Profile

• You are a qualified teacher who holds a Master of Education, a Certificate of Education or a higher qualification

• You have a minimum of seven years’ experience in an international school environment and at least three years’ experience as a principal

• You are committed to promoting excellence in education and have experience in curricula development and quality assurance in the area of school development

• You have an interest in learning German and being part of the German culture and community

• You can speak and teach English at a native speaker level

• IB experience would be an advantage
